Hey Bitch fans! You know we have a brand new issue out, right? Well, these cats (and dogs) are in the know, and they are so happy they're using the only medium out there that could properly express their animal joy to tell you about it: LOLz.

I Can Has Feminizm?

Comedy post by Kelsey Wallace on November 7, 2009 - 12:22pm; tagged gay marriage, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, LOLz, Maine, Washington.
This week was an important one for same-sex marriage legislation, no matter which side you're on (you should be on the side of same-sex marriage). And around here, when important things happen, important LOLz must be consulted.

This kitteh is NOT happy about voters repealing the same-sex marriage law in Maine this week, and we can't blame her:

maine.jpg

This next LOL animal is optimistic about the future of same-sex marriage legislation, inspired by the fact that a vote in Washington state this week not only granted the same rights to homosexual couples that heterosexual couples get (y'know, besides the whole "marriage" thing) but it marked the first time that legislation to dramatically expand gay rights has been approved by a statewide vote of the people anywhere in the US. Yay! Next stop, marriage!

And those of you who follow I Can Has Feminizm might recognize these advocates from our first-ever LOLz post:

Awww. You can always count on feminizt LOLz to be both cute and logical. Remember that YOU (that's right, we're talking to you) can send us your own feminist LOLz to be featured on this very blog. Just go to the LOL builder and send your creations to us via the blog tips page. We know you've got some adorable animal pics floating around that are just begging for a feminist caption. Have a great weekend, and let's go marriage equality!

I Can Has Feminizm?

Social Commentary post by Kelsey Wallace on October 2, 2009 - 2:55pm; tagged abortion, cats, dogs, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, iTunes, LOLz, Orrin Hatch.
Ah, the weekend. A time to unwind and have some fun. This particular weekend, I am in New York for my friends' wedding . And you know what the best way to celebrate a wedding (or any special occasion, really) is, don't you? With LOLz, of course!!!

The first special occasion we're celebrating with LOLz this week is Senator Orrin Hatch's abortion amendments were summarily rejected. He wanted to make sure that "abortions could not be covered by any insurance offered through the planned health-insurance exchanges" and that women who wanted their insurance plans to cover abortions would have to buy additional abortion plans. You know, because everyone likes to plan out their abortions years in advance. At any rate, Hatch was shut down, and this puppeh is pretty happy about it:

hatch.jpg

As you may know, here at Bitch we're also celebrating our new iTunes channel. Subscribe today! These dogs already did, and look how much fun they're having:

itoonz.jpg

Of course, LOLz aren't just good for celebrating special occasions. They are also good for making fun of things you hate. We hate Men's News Daily because they are total a-holes. (For evidence of said a-hole-ishness, check out this article on why feminists are to blame for unfair rape laws. Yikes.) This cat hates Men's News Daily, too:

mens_news_daily.jpg

So there you have it, some LOLz to brighten your weekend. If you ever feel like making a few feminizt LOLz of your own (and we know you will), visit the I Can Has Cheezburger? LOL Builder and send 'em our way. Kthxbai.

I Can Has Feminizm?

Comedy post by Kelsey Wallace on September 27, 2009 - 10:39am; tagged feminizm, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, Jenny Slate, LOLz, SNL, sonia sotomayor, television.
It's finally here, the moment you've been waiting for all week long. No, we're not talking about tonight's episode of Mad Men (but omg what is going to happen to Joan?), we're talking about FEMINIZT LOLZ!!! Why? Because LOLz are watching even when we aren't. Check out what their sharp eyes caught on television this week!

Say, did anyone see Jenny Slate's now infamous swear-word slip on SNL last night?

f-wurd.jpg

Bunnies are sooo conservative! Get over it already!

What about the Yankees game on Saturday? Did anyone get a chance to see the ceremonial opening pitch?

juztice.jpg

In this case, that seems like a good thing. Way to go, Sonia!

And what about television this week? From the disappointing premiere of The Good Wife to the stereotype-laden The Witches of Eastwick, this hasn't been a great television season for women so far. Will things get any better?

forchoon.jpg

Hmm . . . She must be talking about Cougar Town.

Sigh. What would we do without LOLz? Be a lot sadder, that's what. So if you've got some feminizt LOLz hiding up your sleeve, send them our way! Have a grate weekend.

DigiBitch post by Kelsey Wallace on September 19, 2009 - 12:35pm; tagged cats, dogs, dragons, Henry Gibson, hyenas, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, kanye west, LOLz, Mary Travers, Patrick Swayze, R.I.P..
This season has been unofficially dubbed The Summer of Death, and unfortunately this past week was no exception. As pop culture loving feminists, we are all saddened by the passings of Patrick Swayze, Mary Travers, and Henry Gibson, to name only a few. We all grieve in different ways, to be sure, but a couple of LOL tributez never hurt anybody. In order to ease our collective pain, we bring you the I Can Has Feminizm? R.I.P. Edition.

swayze.jpg
We'll miss you, Patrick Swayze. You meant a lot to many young feminizts, this kitteh included.

Magic dragons everywhere are mourning the loss of Mary Travers... Wait! What's this?!

DigiBitch post by Kelsey Wallace on September 13, 2009 - 12:03pm; tagged ellen degeneres, fashion, feminizm, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, LOLz, Serena Williams.
Well, it's the weekend again, and nothing is better on a Sunday afternoon than kicking back with a cup of coffee and laughing at photos of animals that have been captioned in LOLspeak. Amirite? So sit back, relax, and let the LOLz roll.

Did you get a chance to read Sady's post this week about Ellen Degeneres taking over as a judge on American Idol?. Well, this kitteh is pretty psyched:

ellen.jpg

(Ellen likes to wear vests and ties, and so does the cat! Get it? LOLOLOL)

And has anyone been following Serena Williams' alleged foot fault freakout? Regardless of what she says she said, these tigers feel their behavior is justified:

tiger.jpg

And those of you who had a chance to listen to the most recent episode of Popaganda may agree with this kitteh that the fashion industry suxxx:

DigiBitch post by Kelsey Wallace on September 5, 2009 - 11:05am; tagged Disney, feminizm, gender norms, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, LOLCats, LOLz, Marvel, The Consumed Issue.
Hold on to your hats feminizts, because I Can Has Feminizm? is back! I may have let a few LOLz haters get in the way of my providing animal-and-feminism-based laughs these past few weeks, but no more! LOLz are back by popular demand and the first one this weekend comes to us from a Bitch reader and her, well, bitch. Check it out:

bitsh.jpg

How cute! And it's nice to see that the Consumed Issue is a hit with the canine set.

Our next kitteh is responding to the Grrrl on Film post from earlier this week about Disney's purchase of Marvel comics and what that might mean for girls who are hoping for a woman superhero to make it to the big screen one of these days:

heroz.jpg

We're right there with you, cat friend! Do you think she's got her paws crossed for a silver screen adaptation of Kitty Pryde or what?

And just in case you forgot that gender norms can affect our animal friends as well as us humans:

viktim.jpg

Srsly, look at that girl forcing her cat to wear a pink apron! It's like The Feminine Mystique was never even published or something.

Have a good weekend everyone, and enjoy the LOLz! Don't forget that you can make your own feminizt LOLz by visiting the I Can Has Cheezburger? LOLbuilder and sending your creations to us here.

I Can Has Feminizm?

DigiBitch post by Kelsey Wallace on August 9, 2009 - 1:05pm; tagged cats, dogs, ducks, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, John Hughes, LOLz, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles.
Simple Minds' "Don't You Forget About Me" could be heard 'round the world this week, commemorating the untimely death of writer/director/producer John Hughes, whose films shaped many a feminist mind during the 1980s (Molly Ringwald was one sassy teen, after all). Well don't worry John Hughes, we won't forget about you, and to prove it, this installment of feminizt LOLz was created in your honor.

DigiBitch post by Kelsey Wallace on August 2, 2009 - 3:55pm; tagged cats, dogs, Dov Charney, feminism, funny, HBO, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, LOLz.
It's the weekend again, and while in some cultures that might mean a well deserved break from work and an afternoon of drinking beer on the porch, here at the Bitch blog it means FEMINIZT LOLz! (You know you love 'em.)

This cat heard on NPR that HBO is possibly developing not one, but two feminist shows for next season. Sounds good, but I agree with the cat's assessment:

comedeez.jpg

Remember how American Apparel just keeps getting pornier? Yeah, this kitteh does too:

dooshbag.jpg

And this bitch has been catcalled dogcalled one too many times this summer:

whut.jpg

Have a great weekend, feminizts! And as always, we lovez it wen u makez ur own feminizt lolz. You can do just that by visiting the I Can Has Cheezburger LOL builder and sending your creations to us here. kthxbai!

I Can Has Feminizm?

DigiBitch post by Kelsey Wallace on July 26, 2009 - 1:45pm; tagged cat, glass ceiling, I Can Has Cheezburger?, I Can Has Feminizm?, LOLz, ostrich, patriarchy.
Time for some more weekend fun with feminizt LOLz!

This kitteh is subverting gender norms the old fashioned way (with ill-advised guerrilla warfare). Doant try dis at home!

patriarchy.jpg

And it looks like this ostrich disagrees with Joanna Angel. Feminizm is not ugly in college or in the real world!

colledge.jpg

And this kitteh might be a bit misguided, but she doesn't like glass ceilings any more than we human feminizts do.

ceeling.jpg

Enjoy the LOLz, and the rest of your weekend! If you've got some hilarious animal pics you'd like to caption with a little feminizm, make sure to send 'em our way!
