Another week, another roundup! Here's what caught our eyes this week around the Internet:

• In the "Beyond WTF" file, Mother Jones dissects the proposed law in South Dakota that could have legalized the murder of abortion providers. Fortunately, Feministing announced Thursday morning that it's already been shelved.
• Racialicious editor (and Bitch contributor) Latoya Peterson has announced her conference and speaking schedule!
• After distasteful comments about Lara Logan's assault, the Huffington Post reports that journalist Nir Rosen has lost his NYU fellowship.
• Also at HuffPo: hurray for Facebook? The "Relationship Status" droplist now includes "In a civil union" and "In a domestic partnership!"
• The Riot's Catcaller Form reveals the misogynistic assumptions behind street harassment. (via Feministing)
• MTV EXIT debuts their "When Will I Feel Love" video about human trafficking by Black Iris and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast.

• VivirLatino explores the misleadingly-named Secure Communities program, which targets immigrants under the guise of protection from crime.

The Super Bowl, with its male posturing, scantily-clad cheerleaders, and rampant corporate sponsorships, has never been exactly a feminist's dream come true. This year, however, there is one more reason to throw your remote at the screen and run for cover, and it comes in the form of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow. And his mother. And the Focus on the Family anti-choice commercial they'll be starring in during the game.

Tonight's Law & Order episode will be based on the murder of Dr. George Tiller: a late-term abortion provider is murdered while attending church. The episode, titled "Dignity," will have "some significant twists of plot and character, with police officers and assistant district attorneys sometimes taking forceful stands on one side of the abortion debate or the other, only to later express doubt when their involvement in the case becomes more personal."

The Cupcakes for Life Campaign is as crazy as it sounds: literally shoving anti-choice rhetoric down kids's throats.

 The murder of Kansas physician George Tiller is a devastating and, unfortunately, perfect illustration of the stupid, hypocritical, blindered self-righteousness of the anti-choice movement. And just as painful as the news itself is seeing the variety of twists and dodges with which the mainstream media does—or doesn’t—cover it.
