Truth & Consequences Print - 2 left!
Issue #29, Summer 2005
Art Director: Nicholas Brawley
Photographer: Jeffery Walls
For an issue that was all about mystery—in the form of comic-book hoaxes, closeted historical figures, and activism on the margins—we wanted this cover to be as open and literal as possible. And so, a pair of pants on fire. Setting objects aflame was very much the goal for this cover (an alternate, ultimately discarded concept involved a barbeque grill and a ream of paper), which marked a departure from the illustrated and collaged concepts of the past eight issues. After only a few shots and one charred clothesline, it was done.
Our 15th-anniversary series prints offer something for every taste. Featuring some of our favorite covers from Bitch's 15-year history, the limited-edition prints offer gorgeous photos, cool illustrations, nifty typography, and lots of color to perk up your living space. All 15 designs are archival giclee* prints on high-quality, heavy watercolor paper, and are suitable for framing. And if you just can't decide, maybe you need more than one — after all, they'll look pretty great hanging side by side.
*A very high-quality, archival inkjet print that creates very fine detail and vivid color, used by artists to reproduce work with a high degree of integrity to the original.
