TEENAGE MOTHER means nine months of trouble!  I saw this a couple of months ago on the Feminist Law Profs Blog and had to watch it again.  Attitudes in many places haven't changed much since Arleen's time.  The prevailing belief is that girls who explore their sexuality get what they deserve for being a "tease".  The dialog is ridiculous and entertaining and there's no way Arleen is 15.  It's striking that a movie that is supposed to be an educational, cautionary tale exploits/punishes Arleen further by using her "sluttiness" as an excuse to show her in a bra and panties, suggestively eating a chicken wing (!) and in a possible group rape scenario (where she appears to be attacked by both men and women).
