By using a vile ableist slur you're gutting your own argument (using the term generously) more effectively than anything anyone else could say. Which, considering the ethical and logical flaws involved in trashing fat people and fat acceptance, is a substantial feat.

I read that blog post and

I read that blog post and comments section....and minus the terrible choice of words, I would have to agree that ultimately the movement is about fat people who don't want to hear any reasons why fat isn't great. I understand and empathize with body acceptance, but the entire thread is hijacked by people claiming that public health scientists are shaming fat people by using the correlation between obesity and diabetes to inform health policies. It's nuts.
