• In a step forward, the Netherlands just passed a law that will allow transgender people to affirm their identity on legal documents with a statement from “an expert” testifying to their desire to change their gender identification. I mean I guess its nice that they are including two gay women including a couple of gay men as well. But, that still doesn't excuse their disgusting homophobia that has already caused too much damage and too many people have rightfully backed out of the Olympics.

There will be more on this in the coming days, but this has been ongoing since 2008. Being ruled a homicide is a BIG DEAL. Hopefully the inquest recommendations will lead to changes in how we treat our prisoners with mental health issues.
