Nafissatou Diallo

Via Democracy Now!, Nafissatou Diallo continues to speak out about the Dominique Strauss-Kahn case

"Today I promise I’m going to be strong for you and for every other woman in the world. What happened to me, I don’t want that to happen to any other woman, because this is just too much for me. It’s too much for me and my daughter. And I’m here to thank everybody ... people support me. I want to thank everybody. I thank everybody. I’ve been crying, asking God, 'Why me? Why me?' I just want to thank everybody."

And Latoya Peterson wrote about Diallo going public in Newsweek at Racialicious.

I'm compiled a fun list of

I compiled a fun list of links on Wednesday [website name, banner may be NSFW], which you can find here.

I've written a ton of stuff this week, but the one thing I'll share here is my love letter to Bitch.

I come to Bitch to read things I don't come across on a hundred other blogs. What happened to the coverage of the underdogs? Give props to people who need it, not people who are plastered far and wide for all to see.

I always refer to tan heels as nude. Even for my sorority we have to wear TAN heels on one of our days for recruitment. I am going to make sure everyone knows that when we all get nude we aren't all light tan and were not all white. Thanks Bitch for exposing me to this article. I am glad I won't be ignorantly calling tan heels nude.
