Okay, America's Next Top Model fans...

If you, like me, aren't sure you can stomach another season—'scuse me, "cycle"—of Tyra Banks, the two Jays, and a handful of hot messes who will never be models, but you still kind of want to keep up on the show, might I suggest reading the excellent recaps on SFGate.com's Culture Blog? The recaps this cycle are written by the fantastic Rita Hao, longtime Bitch contributor and legal counsel. I myself can't wait for her take on this past Wednesday's episode, in which guest judge Paulina Porizkova called one wannabe model a "transvestite," there was a deeply offensive photo shoot in which the would-be models posed as homeless people, and one girl later dared to opine that fashion was a little pointless and wasteful - a turn of events that caused Tyra Banks not so much to smile with her eyes as to incinerate with them. Oh, who am I kidding? I'm going to watch the show and read the recaps.
