French Elle Goes Au Naturel
While the April Issue of French Vogue features a somewhat creepy spread of model Lily Donaldson equipped with a pretend pregnancy, baby doll, and high-fashion look, this month's French Elle issue is trying something different...models shot without makeup or Photoshopping. Yippee!

Okay, okay, I know they're still thin, conventionally
attractive and more or less ethnically homogeneous. Nevertheless, I
think the conceept is definitely a step in the right direction. We've
all seen body-shaming tabloid covers featuring stars looking *gasp*
absolutely terrible (read: normal), sans makeup while walking the dog,
picking up some groceries, or god-forbid, spending some time on the
beach with a less than flawless body. I'm really pleased to see a
publication feature women in their natural states for once.

Fabulous
Love this post. Nice work.
These are beautiful women,
These are beautiful women, with or without makeup. It would have been nice to see some variation in skin color or body type, but maybe that's too much to ask this soon. I do agree that this is certainly a step in the right direction.
Cosmetics - angrily!
Unlike the colleagues on star shop, beauties from a cover do not hesitate to leave on street without cosmetics or dark glasses and to show the paparazzi a natural healthy complexion. And it is fine!
