Douchebag Decree: The Vengeful Douche Edition

dd

"Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast member Danielle Staub seems to be on the receiving end of a whole slew of attacks from whiny exes these days. Whether she's being dragged through the mud as a "coke whore" by her ex-husband Kevin Maher or being exposed Rick Salomon style by her gripey, attention-crazy ex-boyfriend Stephen Zalewski, this crap is all over the internets lately. Granted, it does not seem Staub is exactly the role-model type anyway. Even on this very blog her character has come into question. And yet, I can't help but feel a little sorry for this woman. Is it her own fault because she signed up to be on a reality show? Or should these douchebags just shut the hell up and go away already, because no one deserves their private sex lives played out for the world to see?

First of all, what is the real point of airing out these tawdry tidbits of some random woman's past? It isn't as if Staub is being portrayed on "Housewives" as a stand-up woman in the first place. If anything, the women on this show are touted as gold-digging, vapid and vain. But couldn't the same be said for these numskulls who are selling their versions of the truth? The hypocrisy doesn't end there, because just as Maher is quick to throw around slurs like "coke whore" he, apparently, didn't have a problem with that as much as he did her sleeping with other men. Shut up please, Kevin. You're embarrassing yourself.

The douche with the sex tape is just as ridiculous, because, um...it takes two people to make a sex tape, sir and...you're the other person in it. Zalewski said, "Not only does she want to have sex all the time, but she loves the thrill of doing it in public places, where she might get caught,". What in the hell are you whining about? Your girlfriend wanted to have sex a lot? Isn't that supposed to be a good thing? Additionally, Zalewski apparently videotaped the capades without Staub's knowledge. Huh. That's just creepy. Shut up please, Stephen. You're doing this for attention, but I (and no one else I know, for that matter) will be giving you any sympathy on this front.

The bottom line is, these a-holes are doing what vengeful exes do, but it is in a public forum against a woman who, despite her flaws, does not deserve their tear-stained, spiteful pity party paraded around every sad bastard tabloid that will buy it. The pejoratives being slung at Staub are damaging for all women. These losers need to get over it already.
