To celebrate our 15th anniversary, we've got 15 archival giclee prints to choose from, all on high-quality, heavy watercolor paper, suitable for framing. Each print offers gorgeous photos, cool illustrations, nifty typography, and lots of color to perk up your living space. To show you what they look like in action, we'll be highlighting a different print on the blog each day in its natural habitat. Today we've got the be-unicorned Make-Believe cover, photographed—naturally—with another make-believe forest creature, an inflatable moose/deer:

Make-Believe: Issue 48, Fall 2010
Art Director: Kristin Rogers Brown
We have long brainstormed cover ideas as a staff, but occasionally an uncontestable mind-meld occurs and makes the process almost unnecessary. This was the case with the Make-Believe issue, where nearly everyone came to the cover meeting with one thing on their minds: unicorns. Finding the perfect one turned out to be easier than we thought. This beauty was part of The Brading Experience, a museum of taxidermy on the Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom. Along with other fantastic taxidermied creatures, our unicorn was said to have been brought to the UK in the 19th century by fictional adventurer Professor Copperthwaite. The museum, sadly, closed in 2010 due to lack of visitors, and Duke's auction house in Dorchester sold the bizarre creature on April 13, 2010, along with "more normal stuffed animals." We got lucky.

Only 9 of these limited-edition prints are left! Order yours now before it becomes a figment of your imagination!
