Tom Waits
"Watch Her Disappear" by Tom Waits:
"Last night I dreamed that I was dreaming of you
And from a window across the lawn I watched you undress"
....Yeah.
stupid.
I'll believe in anything is a great love song. bitch is off the mark this week, including the flimsy criticism of 30 Rock.
Retro Creepiness
I had this flashback one day when I was indulging my teen crush on Rick Springfield's stalker tune "Don't Talk to Strangers" and then recalled Oingo Boingo's "Little Girls."

can't believe this was missed
Morrissey is all about creeping people out to win their affection. I think that he really hit his peak with:
"The more you ignore me, the closer I get"
Highlight:
I am now
A central part
Of your mind's landscape
Whether you care
Or do not
Yeah, I've made up your mind
Love your playlists!
I would have to add DEFINITELY "The Horror of Our Love" ("oh love I'd never hurt you / but i'll grind against your bones until our marrows mix / I will eat you slowly..." yeahhhh), especially since it seems to be kind of a dark parody of the Twilight frenzy and the inevitably destructive/disgusting end that it implies. Their hit song "Love Me Dead" is also reminiscent of this ("Love me cancerously / like a salt sore soaked in the sea...").
