Nick Friedman is the first male editor of Scholastic’s Parent & Child, a magazine whose readership is 85% women the New York Times reports. Apparently, most magazines are run by the gender they intend to cater to (BTW, non-bitches need not apply!), and while homemaker mags have been run by dudes before (Good Housekeeping was founded by Clark W. Bryan in 1885), there seems to be a "mommy club" that men remain outside of.

If you haven't heard about While She Was Out, you're definitely not alone. This low-budget horror/thriller written and directed by Susan Montford opened in just a handful of theaters this weekend, and I was one of the two people who showed up to see it during an opening night showing in NYC. It's a pretty sure bet that this would have gone direct-to-DVD if it didn't have Guillermo del Toro among its ten (!) producers. But I'm glad it did make it to theaters, because despite its shortcomings, While She Was Out is actually worth a look.... (more after the jump).

Turns out Versace is not just weird and sexually creepy in their print ads (see above), they're also weird and sexually creepy toward their employees! Or one in particular, anyway. Former Versace aide Fay Rodriguez sued the fashion giant on Wednesday for gender discrimination, saying she was
forced to relay sexually explicit voicemail messages and was fired when
she complained.
