This season has been unofficially dubbed The Summer of Death, and unfortunately this past week was no exception. As pop culture loving feminists, we are all saddened by the passings of Patrick Swayze, Mary Travers, and Henry Gibson, to name only a few. We all grieve in different ways, to be sure, but a couple of LOL tributez never hurt anybody. In order to ease our collective pain, we bring you the I Can Has Feminizm? R.I.P. Edition.
You know what this means, don't you? No more pesky streaming, or checking and re-checking to see if we've posted new content to our audio page. And for those of you tech savvies who were already subscribed to our old account that we are unable to update, just re-subscribe to this new shiny one! Just one click gets you a FREE subscription to the most amazing audio entertainment available! But you don't have to take our word for it; just ask this headphones-wearing cat!
Well, the verdict is finally in, and it looks as though it IS in fact possible to be a bizarro douche in 140 characters or less. Today's trending Twitter topics include #dontcuffhim and #dontwifeher, and both offer a shit-covered window into the minds of Twitter's best and brightest gender stereotypists. (You know, like a typist who only writes about gender stereotypes. Zing!)
If you aren't clued in to Twitter trends are about, (what, do you have like, better things to do?) they are basically prompts or topics that wind their way through the Twitterverse as more and more users respond (using the # symbol to indicate their participation).
Today's trends are all about marriage, and why certain men and women aren't worth the trouble. Hold on to your hats, folks. It's gonna be a douche-y ride.
Well, it's the weekend again, and nothing is better on a Sunday afternoon than kicking back with a cup of coffee and laughing at photos of animals that have been captioned in LOLspeak. Amirite? So sit back, relax, and let the LOLz roll.

Friend-o-Bitch and blogger Jessica Wakeman has an interview with Diablo Cody at The Frisky that might be of interest to all you feminist film buffs out there. In it, Cody gives her two cents on the Riot Grrrl 90s, adolescent girl friendships, Jennifer's Body, and feminism in Hollywood.
Congratulations to Michelle Bacon, who was just one of the 511 new or renewed subscribers in our Bitch 500 campaign! Hold on to your hats feminizts, because I Can Has Feminizm? is back! I may have let a few LOLz haters get in the way of my providing animal-and-feminism-based laughs these past few weeks, but no more! LOLz are back by popular demand and the first one this weekend comes to us from a Bitch reader and her, well, bitch. Check it out:
How cute! And it's nice to see that the Consumed Issue is a hit with the canine set.
Our next kitteh is responding to the Grrrl on Film post from earlier this week about Disney's purchase of Marvel comics and what that might mean for girls who are hoping for a woman superhero to make it to the big screen one of these days:
We're right there with you, cat friend! Do you think she's got her paws crossed for a silver screen adaptation of Kitty Pryde or what?
And just in case you forgot that gender norms can affect our animal friends as well as us humans:
Srsly, look at that girl forcing her cat to wear a pink apron! It's like The Feminine Mystique was never even published or something.
Have a good weekend everyone, and enjoy the LOLz! Don't forget that you can make your own feminizt LOLz by visiting the I Can Has Cheezburger? LOLbuilder and sending your creations to us here.
